The system is composed of 500 kW (250 kW + 250 kW) MW Transmitter and Auxiliary Equipment.

An outline of the System is given below:

    – The Program signal sent through ISDN Codecs or Satellite from the studio is fed to the Program Input Equipment (PIE). This signal is led through an audio processor amplifier.

    – The program signal is processed, level-limited by the audio processor. The output audio signal of the audio processor is fed to audio input of the Transmitter.

    – A parallel combining system using two (2) sets of 250 kW transmitters to develop a 500 kW is adopted. If the one 250 kW transmitter should fail, the broadcasting service with 250 kW output power could automatically be realized by automatic control.

    – The RF output from the Combining Equipment 50-ohms is connected to an Impedance Matching Unit. The output connected to the Impedance Matching Unit is transferred into a 60-ohm and fed to the MW Antenna System via an open wire feeder.

    – The RF drive signal of the Transmitter is obtained from an external oscillator. One (1) set of RF Exciter Unit is utilized. Two (2) sets of crystal oscillators are incorporated in a RF Exciter Unit.

    – The characteristics of the Transmitting system can be checked on the Program Input Equipment (PIE) by using test equipment.

    – The forced air cooling system is used as the cooling system for the Transmitter.

    – To add more safety of the entire system, a mechanical interlock system is used for the Transmitter.
