Generator Batteries are not being charged through the Generator supply

Problem:
Generator Batteries are not being charged through the Generator dedicated charging unit.

Detection of Problem:
This fault came into view when both feeders got Down due to RCC load shedding by the WAPDA NTDC. when we tried to start the generator supply the Generator could not startup in 2nd time when we needed the generator supply. we noticed that the batteries do not have sufficient charge to start-up the Ignition of Generator.

Solution to the Problem:
In the Emergency Additional Batteries arranged to start the Generator. Then in the 2nd phase the separate charging unit arranged to charge the Generator’s Batteries.

Further Study:
It is realized that control circuitry of Generator’s charging unit is not working which is still in process for the purpose of rectification.
