The 2.5KW R&S transmitter for FM93MHz transmission has been out of order for last three years.
It is really the horrible situation that the main transmission of Karachi, the biggest city of Pakistan is running on 100Watts, Telefunken, Standby Transmitter with single horizontal polarized antenna since long. The radiation circumference is almost 07KM only. No Coverage, no listening. The amount of 600,000/- to 800,000/-, the programme budget per month is going to dumped.
Many corresponding have done in this regards, but due to financial constraints, no rectification of this genuine problem.
There is an advice to hold and save the programme budget for four months only and broadcast the repeated chunks or from the archive/library, it will capable us to purchase the new transmitter.The comments will be appreciated in this regards.
